Asia was close and it MAYBE had the edge right until the 16th century (I don't know because I'm no historian). If you take all landmass that has been under European rule you would end up with almost the entire world minus some countries in eastern Asia and the middle east (+a few more around the world). That says something.
Birthplace of Western culture, plays a predominant role in global affairs, from the 16th to the 20th centuries European nations controlled at various times land's of other Continent's. Now it has a superpower known European Union<br>Population: 731,000,000
UK, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany what else could you ask for?
But isn't part of Russia considered Europe as well.
This is just my second choice to go to only if I can't go to Asia
